Frequently Asked Questions

  • At Denver Metro Music Lessons, we believe that the lesson format should not determine the price. That's why we offer the same competitive rates for all lesson formats, ensuring that our students receive equal access to top-notch instruction no matter where they learn. Regardless of format, lesson prices are:

    30 minutes- $175/monthly

    45 minutes- $260/monthly

    60 minutes- $340/monthly

This is for 4 to 5 weekly lessons each month. Some days will have 4 days in a month, and others will have 5 days in a month depending on the month.

  • Payment for lessons is done monthly at the beginning of each month. Students/families must make payment 24 hours before their first lesson of the month. If you do not pay by then, your teacher will not attend! DMML will send reminders throughout the week prior until payment has been made.

  • A teacher cancellation is when your teacher is not available to make the scheduled lesson time or for a makeup lesson. If this is the case, you will be given a credit towards the next month at the lesson rate for that missed lesson. Some days will have 4 days in the month and others will have 5. This is not a credit for an upcoming lesson, it is a credit for the missed lesson

  • If a student cannot make the scheduled lesson time for any reason, the lesson will be marked as a student/family cancellation. These lessons are not credited or refunded, so please make your scheduled lesson time! If you are going to miss a lesson, reach out to your teacher immediately to see if they have any makeup times available. Teachers are encouraged to do makeup lessons but it is not required for a teacher to makeup a lesson.

  • No, there is not. DMML charges a monthly lesson, so there is no long-term commitment. However, you must let DMML know that you will not be continuing lessons by the 8th of each month to receive payment back for that current month.

  • Once a student has taken lessons for 6 months, they are eligible for DMML recitals. If you or your child have taken lessons prior to DMML, you can speak to your teacher about performing before that 6-month period ends. All students will have 2 yearly recitals through their teacher or DMML. Contact us or talk with your teacher about when/where recitals will be for you or your child.

  • No experience is required to start learning an instrument with DMML!

  • If there is a teacher you would like to work with, DMML will try to fit you on that teacher’s roster. If this does not work out due to location, time, etc., then DMML will help select another teacher. A large part of choosing a teacher for a student is the style of music the student wants to learn. We want to ensure you are getting to learn what YOU want to play.

  • If you want another teacher, we will immediately stop lessons with your current teacher. You will then have lesson credits for the remaining lessons scheduled with the previous teacher to use with your new teacher. Depending on your instrument and level, finding a new teacher can take anywhere from a few days to a few months. Generally, it will be around 3 weeks between lessons if you switch to a different teacher.
